Reclaiming Wholeness
The Life Worth Living (LWL) programme offers a deeply personal journey for each participant, and for some, it’s a challenge to capture that experience in words. One of our participants, Eli, shared a beautiful testimonial that reflects the transformation she underwent during the programme.
Eli begins by recalling a collage she created during the COVID-19 isolation period, which recently resurfaced on her phone. The collage depicts two versions of herself: one as the homemaker, cleaning and organizing, and the other as a woman yearning for a rich social life. This image resonated with her LWL experience, leading her to a powerful realization: these roles are not separate entities; they are part of the same whole. Through the programme, Eli came to understand that she is not living a fragmented life. She is not divided between roles or versions of herself—she is whole. She is always herself, even as she changes and evolves, and will continue to be, no matter who she becomes in the future.
The LWL programme provided Eli with the space to reconnect with her true self, and it also rekindled her passion for philosophy, a subject she loved during her school years. The programme’s focus on philosophical texts inspired her to pursue a master’s degree, and from this autumn, she is once again a student. Beyond academic engagement, Eli has found ways to apply what she’s learned in practical ways. She now faces difficult moments with a stoic mindset, challenges herself to learn new things, and thinks more systematically when making important decisions. Yet, her biggest lesson is learning to feel more, to experience life more deeply, and to think less—a challenge, she admits, but one that defines her current journey.
In her own words, Eli writes: “And I’m ready to raise a glass to Life, because it is truly worth living!” This simple but profound statement sums up the essence of her experience in the LWL programme—a celebration of life in all its complexity and beauty.
Eli also expressed her gratitude to everyone involved in the programme, from the facilitators to her fellow participants, recognizing the shared sense of purpose and discovery that brought them all together.
This testimonial captures the heart of what the Life Worth Living programme strives for—helping individuals not only reflect on the meaning of life but embrace it fully, with all its challenges and joys.
Thank you, Eli, for sharing your journey with us!
